Words

They are the most powerful, creative and destructive force known to man. In the beginning there was nothing but God. And God said “Let there be light" and there was light. And God said, "Let there be": and there was sky, water, earth, sun, moon, stars, plants and animals. All of this was created out of nothing "with words". They are the power that separates and gives us authority over all of the rest of creation. God has given to us the same creative power. In Romans 4:17 He said we could call forth the things that are not as though they were.

Jesus said in Matthew 12:37 by your words you will be justified and acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned and sentenced. It’s our words we will be judged by. If we choose to speak words of love, joy, peace, forgiveness, encouragement and acceptance, we will create love, joy, peace, forgiveness, encouragement and acceptance in our life and into the lives of others.

If we choose to speak words of criticism, hatred, bitterness, complaining and unforgiveness, we will create criticism, hatred, bitterness, complaining and unforgiveness in our life and into the lives of others. Words are formed in the heart. Jesus said "Out of the fullness of your heart the mouth speaks." Matthew 12:34. If your heart and mind are full of evil thoughts about anyone or anything, you will speak forth evil words. If your heart and mind are full of good thoughts about anyone or anything, you will speak forth good words. "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it," (for death or life) Proverbs 18:21. Words have within them the power of life and death. We have within us the creative power to heal or kill our hopes, desires, emotions and relationships.

Our words give us the power to make someone feel powerless, useless, hopeless, depressed, angry, unwanted, unloved and rejected. Our words give us the power to make someone feel accepted, wanted, useful, hopeful, encouraged, positive and loved. When we make room in the stable of our heart for Jesus, and allow Him to be born within us; His love will give us a new birth, a new beginning. WE WILL BE BORN AGAIN. His love will begin to change us from within so that we will be able to speak forth His words of love and forgiveness to others,

In Matthew 8:5 there is a story about a centurion who is begging Jesus to heal his servant boy. When Jesus said he would come an heal him, the centurion said, "Lord, I am not worthy or fit to have you come under my roof, but only speak the word, and my servant boy will be healed. Jesus commended the man for his great faith and said "Go; it shall be done for you as you have believed", and the servant boy was restored to health at that very moment. God is waiting for us to step out in faith and speak His Word over everything and everyone in our lives. There are so many wonderful promises in His Word, but I believe PEACE is at the top of our list of priorities. Together we can speak forth God’s words of promise in Isaiah 54:13 everyday saying "Great is the peace of my children and my children's children" and watch God work His miracles.

What do you Believe?
Many people have the philosophy that “it doesn’t matter what you believe as long as you’re sincere.” It does matter what you believe, however, because your beliefs determine your relationship to God. They determine how you relate to others, and what eternal destiny is in store for you. One day we will all stand before Almighty God to give an account of how we lived. Therefore, now is the time to be certain about what we believe and where those beliefs lead us.
